Inside Oren Levy’s $24 Million Los Angeles Home
Overview
Set on one of Los Angeles’ most desirable hillside streets, Tigertail Road, this $24 million residence was designed to feel elegant and timeless. Developed by Oren Levy of Gesh Group, the home integrates Belgian contemporary influences, reclaimed materials and mature landscaping. “We didn’t want it to feel like a new home that was just built” Levy explains. “We wanted it to blend in with the street and the perimeters.”

Blending Into the Landscape
The property entrance is lined with olive trees, mature oaks and carefully designed landscaping by Christine London. Reclaimed limestone paths, steel-framed windows and a central fountain give the property’s old world vibe while helping it feel in tune with the landscape.
Framing the Landscape
The entry foyer offers a first glimpse of the home’s character with a fireplace sitting area that opens directly to views of the oak trees outside. Levy describes this view as one of the most significant features of the design because it made an instant connection between the home and nature that runs through the entire home.
A Kitchen Defined by Detail
At the heart of the home is a striking kitchen centred around a substantial Calacatta Monet stone island supported by brass legs. Unlacquered brass fixtures, custom cabinetry and a statement range are added with thoughtful details. “One thing we’re really proud of is the fine details” says Levy. “Not everyone notices it, but we take a lot of pride in it.” Throughout the room, every finish has been chosen to age gracefully and develop character over time.
Spaces Designed for Everyday Living
From the barrel-vaulted living room to the intimate piano room and outdoor entertaining areas, each space offers its own ambiance but still connected through a consistent palette of limestone, oak and vintage elements. Large bifold doors make the connection between inside and outside which makes California lifestyle even more compelling.
A Labour of Love
Project manager Hassan witnessed the transformation from bare land to finished residence. “I remember coming here when it was just dirt,” he recalls. “A house like this is meant to flow. It’s meant to feel effortless, but that’s the last thing it was.” His stories of patinating copper by hand and solving countless construction challenges highlight the dedication behind the project.
Wellness and Entertainment
The lower level was designed around modern lifestyle needs, with a gym, steam room, sauna, cinema, wine cellar and entertaining lounge. “The idea is you wake up in the morning, you work out, you go to the steam, you go to the sauna, and after you’re done, you hop in your car and get to work” Levy says, describing the daily routine that inspired the space.
A Private Retreat Above the City
Occupying its own private wing, the primary suite enjoys sweeping views that stretch from the Getty Center towards Catalina Island and the Pacific Ocean. Multiple sitting areas, dual bathrooms, extensive dressing rooms and carefully curated finishes create a retreat that feels luxurious and intimate. Every element, from integrated lighting to handcrafted stonework, highlight the project’s commitment to refinement.
Building a Modern Classic
After three years of planning, design and construction, This luxury home stands as a testament to collaboration between developers, designers, craftspeople and consultants. More than a showcase of luxury finishes, it is a home built around longevity and a deep respect for detail. As Levy reflects on the finished project, the goal becomes clear: to create a home that feels timeless from the day it is completed. This home succeeds not by announcing itself loudly, but by making every element feel exactly where it belongs.
