From the moment of arrival, Palma asserts itself with presence. Off-form concrete wraps the façade, softened by cascading greenery and curved edges.
A signature move for Graya, who are known for integrating soft planting into their architecture.
Stepping inside, the paving continues uninterrupted into the entry, which frames a sculptural spiral staircase. An indoor plant softens the space and brings a sense of life to the minimal palette, breaking up the clean lines with a touch of green.
The ground level opens into a double-height living area defined by natural light and a sense of scale. “The proportions of this room are phenomenal,” says Rob. “The light, the view lines, and that connection to the staircase. It really becomes the spine of the home.”
Silver travertine runs across benchtops, island fronts, and kickboards, all grain-matched and precisely detailed. The stone-wrapped sink becomes a subtle sculptural moment, while textured oak joinery and integrated appliances make the kitchen feel inviting and ready to be used.
The transition from inside to out is seamless, with sliding doors opening to a patio that mirrors the tone of the interior. A built-in barbecue and outdoor lounge zone overlook a turf-fringed swimming pool, creating an ideal space for entertaining or family life.
“The two palm trees in the yard are a standout,” Rob notes. “The way they cast shadows through the living room makes you feel like you’re on holiday year-round.”
Upstairs, the home’s upper floor is structured around a generous void that divides the master suite from the children’s bedrooms. “It’s not just about volume,” Rob explains. “It also serves a purpose, creating acoustic separation between the sleeping zones.”
The master suite is positioned to capture Brisbane’s prized northern aspect. Anchored by a full-height upholstered bedhead, the space extends into a walk-in wardrobe with an island wrapped in travertine and a skylight that washes the room in natural light. “It just feels like one big light and bright room,” Rob says.
The primary ensuite continues the theme with rounded walls, mosaic tilework, and a circular skylight above. A nib wall replaces the typical glass shower screen, preserving the home’s open plan ethos while offering tactile, architectural definition.
Below, the home reveals a series of concealed service areas including a butler’s pantry, powder room, laundry, and guest bedroom, all hidden behind a seamless wall of joinery. “You’d never guess how much function is built into this part of the house,” Rob notes. Even the laundry has been designed to luxury standards, complete with built-in dry cleaning technology.
A dedicated wine cellar and tasting room occupies the lower level, featuring a built-in bench seat, sink, and dishwasher. It is both functional and atmospheric, providing a private corner of the home for entertaining. Adjacent is a six-car garage, generous in scale and proportion, and tailored to the expectations of modern luxury buyers with multiple cars.
As one of Australia’s leading residential developers, Graya continues to set a benchmark for contemporary design, and we’re proud to feature their work as The Luxury Home Show expands into Australia.
